For techno DJ and producer Kevin D’Angello, I crafted unique show visuals that aligned with his bold and boundary-pushing sound. His briefing was anything but ordinary: he envisioned visuals incorporating the classic TV test pattern, reminiscent of signal interference, and the iconic yellow rave smiley. The challenge was to build an engaging show around these two flat, circular elements while conveying a sense of depth and movement. By creatively blending these motifs with dynamic effects and layered animations, I transformed these simple shapes into a visually immersive experience that resonated with the raw energy of Kevin’s performances.
